TEMECULA, CA – April 24, 2013 --South Coast Winery Resort & Spa kicked off its 2013 growing season in grand style on Sunday, April 21, with their Annual Blessing of the Vines Celebration. Over 250 people attended the festivities, steeped in centuries’ old tradition, to offer up blessings to celebrate the robust greening vines in anticipation of a successful and bountiful growing season which is already being expressed through the vineyards’ renewed growth. Rabbi Sandy Rosenstein of Temple Beth Sholom, Temecula, offered the invocation and blessing in both Hebrew and English alongside the vines and attendees; while Latin Jazz artist Louie Cruz Beltran and his ensemble ensured guests stayed on their feet, dancing the night away in true South Coast fashion.

Of course, heading into a robust growing season is nothing new for South Coast Winery, as this Southern California resort gets ready to commemorate its 10–year anniversary in June 2013. Special 10–year activities are planned throughout the summer and include a plethora of luxurious getaway and entertainment offerings at the resort, along with a special limited-release 10–year anniversary wine that will include an artisanal blend of the “best of the best” red varietals grown on the winery’s 600+ acres of sustainable Southern California vineyards, and personally selected by owner/vintner Jim Carter to commemorate for this special edition.

In Temecula’s Wine Country, this 39–acre resort houses 76 private villas, a warm and friendly tasting room and boutique, award winning restaurant, the recently expanded 15,000 square foot GrapeSeed Spa, plus opened its doors to an all–suite hotel tower. The expansion will make room for additional guests that will be converging onto the resort’s grounds this year to celebrate ten years of excellence. Festivities will culminate with the Texaco Country Showdown After Party Concert, scheduled for June 29. Teaming up with GO COUNTRY 105 FM, the resort will be featuring top musical contenders from this Nation's largest and longest–running Country music competition known for such discoveries as Garth Brooks, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw and other internationally acclaimed country superstars.

And yet vineyard and entertainment venues are not the only things that are growing at the winery this time of year. South Coast Winery gets down to business, with expansion also occurring in the convention services arena. The resort will be opening up a new two-story 3,200 square foot meeting facility next month which will house break-out rooms and a private tasting room ideal for executive retreats and team building sessions. The resort is already home to over 35,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and convention space, including the highly esteemed Carter Reserve Library, a meeting and event room, rich in atmosphere and lined from ceiling to floor with rich warm woods, state of the art A/V and wine. Peering into the horizon, Carter will be breaking ground this summer for an all new, five–star resort winery and complex in Temecula’s Wine Country, aptly titled Carter Estates.

“Like a fine bottle of wine, South Coast Winery’s past has been ripe with bud break; its present is bursting with a variety of color and expression; and the future is bright with possibility,” says owner/vintner Jim Carter. “Thanks to our community and its solid support, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa has been able to help fuel the local economy through some of the toughest of times, and we are here to help ensure the region’s continued notoriety as the true award–winning resort and wine region it is.” .

South Coast Winery Resort & Spa produces five-star hospitality and a broad portfolio of premium wines. Over the course of the first ten years of its production, the winery has received over 1,800 awards and medals from both international and domestic wine competitions, including two-time winner of the coveted California State Best of State distinction. The winery graces the grounds of South Coast Winery Resort & Spa, a 39-acre destination property located in the heart of Southern California Temecula Valley Wine Country at 34843 Rancho California Road, Temecula, California.
