What Women Really Want
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
WHAT DO WOMEN REALLY WANT? SOUTH COAST WINERY DISCOVERS ANSWER.
TEMECULA, CA – APRIL 6, 2009 – It's the topic of songs that continuously tops the music charts week after week. You'll find this common theme in scores of Oscar winning movies, and hotly debated in divorce courts across the country each day. And since women buy 60-70% of all the wine in the U.S., South Coast Winery felt it important to discover the answer to the age old question:
What do Women really want?
It was with this in mind that they selected five of their best selling tasting room wines and entered them into the 2009 National Women's Wine Competition, the first and only United States based wine competition judged solely by superstar women in the wine industry. Some of the top leading ladies who played a role in judging for this year's wine competition included none other than Gina Gallo, 3rd generation family winemaker; Mary Ewing Mulligan, President, International Wine Center; Leslie Sbrocco, Wine Consultant and TV Host; plus author, sommelier, Natalie MacLean, to name a few.
The competition results arrived today, and here's what South Coast Winery learned: Of the five wines entered into the 2009 competition, they now know without a shadow of a doubt that women really love:
The International Women's Wine Competition results arrived at South Coast Winery on the same day the winery received news it had tied with Napa's prized V. Sattui Winery for the number of medals earned in the recent 2009 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. Each winery brought in a hefty 22 medals from the competition – each earning the coveted Double Gold. "We are proud of the competition results we're garnering so far this year – especially for our Double Gold winning NV South Coast Winery Spumante Diamante," states a proud Jim Carter, winery owner/vintner. Carter went on to report that, "In the first year of release, South Coast Winery's newest sparkling Muscat Canelli -- Spumante Diamante -- is making quite a name for herself -- earning one Gold Sweepstakes medal in the San Diego International Wine Competition, one Silver medal in the Monterey Wine Competition & one Double Gold medal in the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition."
South Coast Winery produces a broad portfolio of premium wines that are 100% grown and produced with care under his tutelage in Southern California's Temecula Valley Wine Country.
